October 2025 WISE Newsletter

October 27, 202510 min read

Hello WISE Laides! Our October meeting was held on the 14th at Art Z. A big thank you to Neelu for hosting us in her space! Stepping in for Diana, Nicole led the meeting and shared that all future meetings through 2026 will take place in the Western & Southern large conference room. Kim kicked things off with a fun “Would You Rather” icebreaker… would you rather give up dessert or caffeine forever? The laughter was contagious, and the group was almost perfectly split down the middle! Nicole also reminded us that our scholarship fundraising continues year-round, and we’re looking for more volunteers to join the fundraising committee. See below fundraising section for more info. We were thrilled to welcome Mona Martin of Ruby Care Senior Living Advisors as our speaker. It’s always inspiring to hear how our members found their path as entrepreneurs and how they serve others through their work. Looking ahead, Lori Feil will be our November speaker, and we’re challenging everyone to bring new pajamas for her Pajama Rama PJ Drive! Our goal is 100 pairs. We are collecting new pairs of pj’s, with tags, from infant through adult. The most needed sizes being adult styles that a teen would love to wear. Bring them to the November meeting! Don’t forget to schedule your one-on-ones this month. And when you do, snap a photo and share it in our Facebook group! It’s a great way for everyone to see who’s connecting and for your pictures to be featured in the newsletter. If you’re not yet part of the FB group, let me (Christine) know and I’ll get you added. Be sure to check out the sections below for updates on our podcast and upcoming events through the end of the year! Warmly, Christine Moreau On behalf of the WISE Board

💎 Member Spotlight: Mona Martin of Ruby Care Mona Martin’s journey into senior care began with a heart for service but her story starts long before that. Raised with strong Southern values and entrepreneurial spirit, Mona spent her early years helping her parents run a charming gift and accessories store. That experience laid the foundation for her warm customer care and sharp business instincts. Now married for 31 years and settled in Texas for the past 14, Mona shares her home with her husband and two beloved cats. Her path led her into senior living, where she quickly found her calling. When Ruby Care Senior Living Advisors opened, Mona joined the team early on, drawn by their shared mission to guide families through the often-overwhelming world of elder care. She’s especially passionate about helping families find the best possible place and care for their loved ones. Mona leads a Dementia Support Group every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM at theCompass Center in Colleyville, creating a safe space for connection, education, and encouragement. Ask Mona about her faith, gut health, senior living, the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, the Tulip Festival near Seattle, or her time singing around the world — and you’ll see her light up. Her stories are rich, her insights are deep, and her coffee conversations are legendary. Mona believes that every experience — from retail to caregiving — equips her to serve others with empathy and strength. At Ruby Care, she treats every “Ruby” like a Diamond. published by Social Butterfly by Diana 🦋

Your Makeup Is Only as Good as Your Skincare By Christine Moreau, Beauty Guide & Skincare Educator We’ve all been there…spending time perfecting our foundation only to have it look patchy, cakey, or uneven by midday. It’s easy to think the makeup is to blame, but often the real issue lies underneath. Makeup performs best on skin that’s cared for. Think of your face as a canvas. If it’s dry, textured, or unprepped, even the highest-quality foundation will struggle to blend or stay put. The smoother and more hydrated your skin is, the more effortlessly your makeup will apply and the longer it will last. Here’s how to set the stage for flawless foundation: 1. Cleanse to remove oil, dirt, and buildup. 2. Exfoliate regularly to smooth texture and reveal fresh skin. 2-3 times a week is recommended. 3. Hydrate with a moisturizer or serum to plump and prep the surface. 4. Prime using skincare-based products that create a seamless base for makeup. Makeup should enhance your natural glow, not work against it. Start with proper prep, and you’ll be amazed at how much better your foundation looks and feels. If you’re ready to elevate your routine, I’m now booking Glow Up Sessions to help you get your skincare and makeup in sync. Text 817-938-7029 to schedule your personalized session and start your glow-up journey.

🎙️WISE Podcast Update

🚀 Why Every Small Business Needs Automation on a Mission by Nicole Serralta Certified Tech Solutions Running a small business or startup often feels like juggling a dozen tools just to stay organized — email marketing, text reminders, social media, invoicing, scheduling, CRM, and more. Most business owners don’t realize how much time and money they’re losing by keeping everything separate. That’s exactly where Automation on a Mission (AOAM) comes in. AOAM is a powerful, all-in-one business automation platform designed specifically for very small businesses, solopreneurs, and startups. Instead of paying for 8–10 different subscriptions, AOAM brings everything together in one simple, affordable system. 💡 What AOAM Can Do for You CRM & Contact Management – Keep every lead, customer, and conversation organized in one place. Email & Text Campaigns – Send automated follow-ups, nurture sequences, and promotional messages with ease. Booking & Scheduling – Let clients book directly from your website, text, or social media with built-in calendar sync. Reputation Management – Automatically collect and showcase your reviews to boost credibility. Funnels & Websites – Build landing pages, sales funnels, or full websites without needing a designer. Payment Integration – Collect payments, set up subscriptions, and manage invoices right inside the platform. And for business owners who aren’t “tech people,” it’s built to be simple — you can automate in a few clicks, not a few hours. 🧠 Even If You Don’t Have a CRM Yet… Start small.
Even without automation, you can: Track your leads in one spreadsheet. Know who to follow up with and when. Use templates for consistent communication. A few well-timed emails or texts go a long way. Document your client process. Having a system written down is the first step to automating it. Once you have those basics, AOAM can transform them into seamless automations that save you hours every week. 💰 Save Money on Tools You Already Use Most small businesses are already paying for: Mailchimp or Constant Contact Calendly Canva Pro Zapier SurveyMonkey * HubSpot or Pipedrive AOAM replaces most (if not all) of those tools — saving hundreds of dollars each month while simplifying your operations. ⚡ Incredible Offer: Just $97/month For a limited time, you can get Automation on a Mission for only $97/month — a fraction of what you’re probably paying now for disconnected apps that don’t talk to each other. If you’re ready to simplify your tech stack, streamline your marketing, and finally automate your business operations, AOAM is your next move. Scan the below QR code to get started.
