Kickstarting 2025 with Inspiration and Growth
We began the year with an energizing Women in Successful Entrepreneurship (WISE) meeting on January 7, where both familiar faces and new visitors joined us for a dynamic start to 2025. This meeting was a bit different, focusing on information sharing and idea generation as we gear up for our fundraising efforts to support this year’s WISE scholarship. An important part of the meeting was our board member election, as two valued members stepped down from their positions. Congratulations to Staci Hill and Kim Kramer on being elected as Directors on the board! Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding our impact and growing our network. Recruitment efforts are underway, so keep an eye out for potential new members who would be a great fit for WISE. We were also honored to welcome Heather Aldridge from Community Impact Newspaper, who attended to learn more about our organization and upcoming scholarship initiatives for an article she’s preparing. Here’s to a new year filled with connection, collaboration, and empowering one another to achieve even greater success! Warmly, Christine Moreau On behalf of the WISE Board
🎓Scholarship Fundraising
Our fundraising efforts for the 2025 WISE Scholarship are officially underway! This year, we’re focusing on three exciting events instead of selling raffle tickets. The first event, our Galentine’s Sip & Support, is quickly approaching on February 8 at Wine:30 (see below for more details). In April, will be a wine tasting at Wine:30 tentatively April 4th. Our third event will be a Vendor Showcase at The 206, where non-members can participate for a vendor fee. That date is still TBD but tentatively we are looking at May 3rd. Stay tuned for more details on the April and May events, and thank you for helping us make this scholarship possible!
🍷💸Galentine’s Sip & Support🍷💸
Join us for the WISE Sip & Support event on February 8 from 1 to 4 PM at Wine:30, benefiting the WISE 2025 Scholarship! Invite your network to enjoy a free glass of wine with a scholarship donation and help us make a difference. We’re also seeking donated items for the silent auction—please reach out to Nicole if you’d like to contribute. Additionally, we’re looking for event sponsors! The more sponsors we have, the lower the cost per sponsor, as the bill will be split at the end of the night. Sponsors will receive recognition on the event flyer and all social media promotions, offering great visibility in the community. If you’re interested in sponsoring or donating auction items, please connect with Diana or Nicole today! For this event to be a great success, we need your help inviting your network and spreading the word.
