Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WISE Newsletter! We are thrilled to launch this monthly newsletter as a platform to keep you informed and engaged with all the exciting activities, events, and opportunities within our community. Our goal is to foster meaningful connections, share valuable insights, and celebrate the achievements of our members. Each issue, will bring you highlights from recent meetings and gatherings, updates on initiatives and upcoming events, and more! We encourage you to participate actively by contributing your stories, achievements, and ideas. Your involvement is what makes WISE strong and vibrant. Thank you for being a part of the WISE. 🚨Raffle ticket reminder!
Don't forget to sell your minimum of 5 raffle tickets to help us hit our goal of raising at least $2,500 for our scholarship. Ticket sales continue through June 9. Let's make this happen! Link to tickets below👇🏼
Scholarship Update
As of our May 13th meeting, we are excited to announce that we have raised $1,600 for our scholarship fund through raffle ticket sales. We currently have four applicants for the scholarship. Ticket sales will continue through June 9, with the raffle winner being drawn at our June 10th meeting. We ask each member to sell a minimum of five raffle tickets to help us reach our goal of $2,500 for the scholarship recipient. However, due to incidental costs associated with hosting the award luncheon, we aim to exceed this goal. The scholarship winner will be honored at a noon luncheon on July 20 at Wine 30. We need volunteers to assist with setup, preparation, and takedown for the event. Please reach out to Diana, our Sunshine Committee Chairperson, if you can help. Keep selling those tickets! Additionally, we are seeking members to join the committee responsible for selecting the scholarship winner. If you are interested in contributing, please contact Diana or Nicole.
Upcoming Events
We want to continue building friendships within our group, so we will be planning more social get-togethers to help foster these relationships. Mark your calendar for the following important dates: ✅June 9: Last day to sell raffle tickets ✅June 10: Monthly meeting and raffle winner drawing ✅July 3: Roanoke All American Fireworks & Festival! Join us on the patio at Wine30 to enjoy the festivities and fireworks ✅July 14: Pool party potluck at Nicole’s house at 1 PM instead of a formal meeting ✅July 20: Luncheon to award the scholarship recipient at noon at Wine30 ✅September 14: Social gathering at 4 PM at Harvest Hall in Grapevine We look forward to seeing you at these events and strengthening the bonds within our group.
